Sound health is influenced by many factors that constantly contribute to one’s long-lasting good mental and physical well being. However, one cannot say that a person is completely healthy just by guessing it by how good someone feels about him or herself.
Because the human brain can only feel emotions that may be pleasant or unpleasant and not the chronic illnesses or disorders that are slowly making roots inside their bodies unless there are physical symptoms present.
By the time a chronic health condition shows up, it’s too late just because someone was judging his/her health only by the indicator of “feeling good” but that does NOT mean you’re healthy.
What is Good Health in True Sense?
Good health is the proper working or functioning of body systems in a normal state without the presence of any disease. Pathology is the opposite of it in which the body’s functions are altered due to a certain disease or disorder regardless of the body showing any physical symptoms or not.
In normal physiological/healthy states, our body coordinates with the brain in every aspect; for example, each cell in the body behaves as a functioning unit and is dependent on the signals coming from the brain and spinal cord (nervous system).
If there is a problem between this connection between the nervous system and each cell of the body, this will hinder the proper functioning of each cell and ultimately each tissue, organ, organ system, and whole body. That’s why a vibrant nervous system is key to sound health.
Why “Feeling Great” isn’t a Symbol of Good Health?
Feeling good or bad is just a temporary mental or emotional state of mind. Its a fact that our body responds to physical stimuli of pain as the main indicator of something wrong to our health as in the case we get injured, we feel pain and we react to rectify the damage in time.
Surprisingly, there are only 11 percent chances of our body perceiving pain as an indicator of poor health conditions because we do have only a few portions of our nervous system that can detect pain signals in response to a disease. There comes a problem with chronic illnesses that don’t show pain or any symptom at all.
Can Someone Feel Good and have Poor Health Simultaneously?
This depends on the particular person because some people can be chronically ill and be in a good emotional state at the same time without even knowing until its too late because if someone just feels good emotionally and/or physically does not translates to being in a fit condition health-wise.
We often see the cases in which a person seems to be fit and in good health but after some years, his health starts declining extremely fast.
People often develop cardiovascular diseases, physical or mental stress, muscular degeneration, depression, OCD, and a lot more without even knowing. As a result, they suffer from bad health outcomes that otherwise would have been avoided by timely management.
So, it can be confidently said that feeling good is not something to be related to as a sole indicator of good health. We have many health-conscious clients who regularly get evaluated by our team of professionals for various physical and mental problems in a timely manner to avoid future problems.
How to Remain Healthy Even if there is No Physical Symptom?
Well, that is a broader aspect influenced by good nutrition, regular exercise, sufficient rest, positive thinking, and a fit nervous system.
Make sure that there is not an interruption of any sort in signalling between the nervous system and the rest of the body. This can be effectively done by an expert chiropractor with years of experience.
