So, what’s the difference between the two? The one and only difference is abuse. Anything in normal limits does no harm to the body.

Psychological- Another category of people suffering from abuse start this due to psychological reasons. People who feel less satisfied or the people who are devoid of praise turn their head towards alcohol abuse.

Genetic- Although, it not one of the biggest reason but it comes under the common causes. Evidence can be withdrawn from the studies which suggests that family plays a cardinal role in the life of the addicts. It is statistically evident that 5 out of 10 people suffer from the legal consequences of alcohol abuse who the addicts in their families. So, such people are at higher risk of developing such susceptibility.

Age- People who had a family history of depressive illness or the people who had a stressful and troubled childhood are at the higher risk of developing alcohol addiction. Several studies suggest that the people who start drinking alcohol at an earlier age are at greater risk of developing addiction than the ones who start at the later age.

Gender- This is one of the last and less common risk factor that is associated with the alcohol abuse. Women are at higher risk of developing alcohol abuse due to the problems they face at their home or at their workplace.
